A special one-day hands-on workshop focused on Wireshark tips and tricks to identify the cause of network performance problems and security issues

This workshop focuses on the techniques used to identify performance and security issues on the network with Cascade Pilot, the visualization, monitoring, and reporting enhancement of Wireshark the world's most popular network analyzer (www.wireshark.org).

If you have ever wanted to:

  • Capture massive amounts of traffic for troubleshooting or security purposes (hours, days, weeks)?
  • Filter that data quickly and easily to isolate issues such as slow application response time, poor VoIP quality, bandwidth hogs, infected clients, etc.?
  • Retain statistics for baseline and capacity planning over weeks or months?
  • View Application layer statistics such as response time?
  • Drill down on those statistics to the actual packets and view them in Wireshark?
  • Document your findings in career-enhancing reports for customers or management?

But you don’t want to spend hours wading through packets or writing scripts? Then this workshop is for you! Using the power of Cascade Pilot, this workshop will give you hands on experience achieving those exact goals. Network traffic will be captured live during the workshop, and example trace files from real networks will be provided.

With training you can take back and use immediately following the course, this special free event will be one you don't want to miss.

Prerequisite: Participants must be familiar with using Wireshark for analysis Packet Captures, and have a copy of Cascade Pilot (CSP-LIC-USR-1) from Riverbed. Participants must arrive at the course with the copy of Cascade Pilot already installed onto their laptop, to be used during the course. If you do not have one, please contact your Riverbed Representative.

Please note: while the class is free, seating is limited. Preference will be given to first Riverbed customers to register, thereafter a waiting list will be created.
